Year – Late 1930s or early 1940s

Size – 34, 36, 38 inch busts

Yarn Size – 3 ply

Isn’t this lovely! It’s in the Tyrolean style, which I think of being the hippie look of the 30s and 40s as it referenced traditional styles worn in rural areas.  It’s for a “jumper” which I would call a cardigan or top.

I’ve been sorting through my piles of patterns and ordering them by decade and have unearthed quite a few I bought on my holidays last year and forgot to post, hence the sudden flurry of posts. I’ve been trying to declutter using the Mari Kondo (or Konmari) method.

Thanks so much for sharing this! I love these Tyrolean designs. That front border looks like a pain in the butt to knit, but a beautiful finish.

I adore all of these Tyrolean patterns! They are pretty, so perfect for spring {and really, any time of the year if you are addicted to florals like I am!} Thank you for sharing ❤
