This pattern is for a V-neck sweater in sizes 36 to 46 inches, either with or without sleeves. The 50’s era english term for this is a pullover and a sleeveless pullover. The pattern is created using knit, purl and the abbreviation cr1 which they define as cross one – cross one by keeping the wool at the back of the needle and slipping the next stitch purlwise on to the right-hand needle, knit the next stitch, pass slip stitch over to left-hand needle and knit into the back of it.
Year – 1950’s judging from the hairstyle and price. Look at the quiff on the left! We have some colour logo printing, but not colour photography. In the world of 20th Century printing, the more colours, the most expense.
Sizes – 36 to 46 inch chest
Yarn Size – 4 ply
