This issue opens with embroidery transfer that wasn’t included with the magazine, the cheek! Two whole pages for it and you had to pay extra and send off for it. The patterns are: ladies two piece beach-suit (not a bikini, that word hadn’t been coined yet) for 32-34 inch bust; Child’s sun-suit and cardigan 22 inch waist; Just right for Spring, an Angora Cap to wear with your new suit; a smart jacket bust 34-36 inch, shown on inside back cover, pattern on page 8 and 19; The pretty jumper on the front cover for 32-34 inch bust; pages 10 and 11 have three ladies sweaters, bust 32 for short sleeved button up, 32-34 inch bust for the long sleeved square yoke jumper, and right 33-35 inch bust for the short sleeved 2-ply sports shirt.
Here is the whole magazine on Google Docs.
Thanks so much for more beautiful patterns. I love that shirt in 2ply but not sure whether I would have the patience to complete it!
@NAYSNEEDLE I used to think that smaller ply knitting took ages, but I think I’ve speeded up over the years and done so much 4-ply knitting that knitting with anything else seems ludicrously quick. If I was making the 2-ply shirt, I’d use Excelite from Susan Crawford, as she’s chosen vintage shades. It’s 3-ply, but I think designed for vintage 2-ply projects.
