Free 40’s Knitting Pattern – For The Junior Miss Stitchcraft Booklet
This should have been a blog bank holiday special, but I’m a bit behind schedule. Here is the whole booklet from Stitchcraft “For the Junior Miss”, which is from 1949 according to The British Library. The bust sizes are all 32-34 inch, plus there are socks, hat and mittens. I’ve added a gallery of knits in the booklet before you scroll down to see the scanned pages.
Thank you for sharing! My ever growing knitting list just got longer, I am definitely making that Tyrolean jacket!!! And I was strangely attracted to the warm undies. Must be my arctic childhood talking 😀
I have made and worn a knitted vest for winter when I lived further north, from the yarn marked “snuggly” Was really warm! Also when wearing with vintage, silk keeps you warm, so in knitted undies, a silk blouse and a jumper you can cope with no central heating. I think I’d rather have silk undies now though.
Thanks thanks thanks!!!!! I too am drawn to the knitted undies though I’ve never made any. Those are some of the prettiest I’ve seen.

Will you put a link to it here when it’s knitted? I’d love to see it and do follow you on Blog lovin but don’t want to miss it.
