Free Vintage Knitting Pattern from 1970s in worsted yarn – Emu 3127

This original pattern is available for free, but please donate what you think it is worth to Cure DM. Link to download is at the bottom of the post.

Year – 1970s

Size – 34 to 44 inch bust

Yarn Size – Emu Fiord, which was worsted or 10 ply according to Ravelry (though I don’t think either term was used in the UK). As I’m going to say a lot on this website, my local yarn shop has advised me that in the past, chunkier yarns weren’t as chunky as they are now. Ask your local yarn shop for advice or swatch your projects to achieve the correct tension with the yarn you want to use, otherwise the sizing will be off.

I wish this had the year of the pattern. I’m looking for a similar multi-coloured fringed jacket/cardigan, tunic length pattern roughly from the same year as this. My Mum made it for me with mainly brown yarn and yellow, red, blue, etc stripes. I loved it and would like to make it again. It was in a UK pattern magazine, possibly knit and crochet around 1972
