Free Vintage Knitting Magazine – Stitchcraft February 1947

The magazine became monthly again. Possibly to do with easing of paper shortages. The magazine is thinner, but the same price which is rather cheeky. Anyway, there are quite a few ladies tops in this one. My favourite is the red set from the back cover, in a 33 -35 inch bust, which promises you only need 4 clothing ration coupons to make both. Also in this issue – the front cover checked jacket is a size 34-36 bust; the button up jumper with fair isle bands (surely you’d call that a cardigan?) is 33-35 inch bust; a chair back counted thread embroidery and a circular design for a cushion;  a sleeve-less jumper with an unusual hexagonal stitch in 32-34 inch bust; some snug briefs in either 34-36 or 36-38 inch hips; a jumper with a sunray yoke in size 34-36 and an evening jumper in stripes, which you could make from left overs in size 32-34 bust.
